What is your level of experience/comfort with kids who are not neurotypical, i.e. high-functioning autism spectrum disorder /ASD campers?

We work for inclusivity and safety through ADA compliance and thorough health screenings, collaborating with families and medical professionals.

"Quirky" is a perfect adjective for describing the majority of our campers, as they each bring their own unique perspectives and personalities to the camp environment. Our team is well-acquainted with the needs and characteristics of high-functioning campers on the autism spectrum, as well as those with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). However, it is important to note that we are not a specialized program exclusively designed for campers with Autism or ADHD.

We embrace diversity and inclusivity by being ADA compliant. To maintain a safe and supportive environment for everyone, we conduct a comprehensive mental and physical health screening prior to camp participation. This screening is crucial as it helps us assess whether each camper can meet the minimum functional requirements necessary for a successful camp experience.

During this screening process, we work closely with the camper's family as well as relevant medical professionals. This collaboration allows us to gain insights into the camper's individual needs and capabilities, ensuring that we are able to provide the appropriate support and accommodations. Our goal is to create an enriching and enjoyable experience for all campers, where they can thrive and make lasting memories.
