What are the cabins like?

Farm & Wilderness embraces simplicity, with campers living in three-walled cabins, using trunks or duffel bags for storage, and bringing their own bedding and mosquito nets.

Farm and Wilderness believes in the power of simplicity. We believe in the radical notion of unplugged resourcefulness and restful stillness. We minimize that which separates us from one another and the natural world. Living simply prepares each of us to find ourselves. Our camp housing reflects these values as we learn to live with the natural world. At Saltash Mountain, Firefly Song, Tamarack Farm, and Timberlake, campers live in cabins with 3 walls and around 11-12 bunks per cabin. Each bunk has a mattress, and campers are asked to bring sheets or a sleeping bag and a mosquito net to set up their bunk. There are no drawers or dressers in the cabins, so campers are encouraged to use a trunk or duffel bag that can neatly fit under the bunks for storage. Below is an example of one of our cabins:
